Fabia SE CD Changer (OEM)

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I just got myself a leather interior(finally) from an SE model.

I was wanting some info on the CD changer under the passenger seat. As far as I can see there is a wiring loom of some sort but it has been cut neatly.

What do I need to get it going and is it compatabile with any aftermarket head unit? I have a wee Sony in at the moment.

Any advice/info would be great

Thanks in advance

The OEM changer is only compatible with a Skoda headunit. Many have tried and failed to get it working with something else. The OEM changer was made by panasonic, and seems to use some variant of a blaupunkt system to control it.

Cheers for that. What a pity! Can it be removed and replaced with the wee storage box like under the driver's seat??

Yes, it can be swapped for a storage box. I dont know the part numbers, but you want one thats for the markets with the steering wheel on the opposite side.
