Tyre Brand suggestions for Felicia?

Featured Replies

Need "new boots" (hate that Brundle-ism) for my Felicia, which i'm quite enjoying now, especially having been in a couple of second hand cars my friends paid similar amounts for (about 1000) which feel pretty tired.

I'm not going to be putting Michelin's on it or anything, (roads are often poorly maintained / kept clean in Manchester, lots of bits of junk on the roads = punctures, too many potholes for taking chunks out of tyres etc)

any recommendations for what budget brands to go for?

i run my 1.6 pick up on yokahamas... are they budget? i dunno

They all seem cheap compared to my bike tyres.

Not sure it they make them to fit the felly, but when I ran my Volvo 480 I used Kumho - kind of in between budget and branded. They were very good tyres for the price.

Most kwit-fit type places fitting tyres will be able to help you tbh. Just ask what they have in the middle range (not cheapo's but not expensive).

When I got new ones I got Goodyear GT2's on as they had an offer I found online I think and they have lasted really well so far (about 2 years now I think) although this is on my alloys and cost about £220.

I would stay away from cheapo's as I did the cheapo tyre thing on my old car and forever seemed to be replacing tyres!

I have 2 Fulda Ecocontacts at about £40 a tyre as my rear tyres.

My spare is a budget £25 it cost me although I cant remember the name

This is for the 165/70 R13 size

to be honest, why not just buy a set of 15" alloys from the likes of halfords or what have you. For 250 notes yourll get some shiney shiney wheels and some decent tyres with a greater contact patch.... all ready to just bolt on.
