Are all fabia doors the same?

Featured Replies

Need a new drivers door for my Fabia vRS and was wondering are they all the same across the range.

Thanks in advance

The only variation I know of (though, there maybe more) is the early (pre 04?) doors had nuts on for the carrier to bolt onto. I also think the carriers are different between manual and electric windows, But I'm guessing your keeping the one you have.

Obviously I'm keeping all the electrics, glass, etc. The reason I'm changing the door is because it would take too much filler to sort out. So as long as I get a door off a Fabia after 2004, preferably with electrics I should be OK?

some dont have rubstrips

I think you'd probably be abale to use a pre 04 door as well though.. as long as you got the bolts with it (or bought them from a dealer) then I *think* your existing carrier would bolt straight on once you'd drilled out the rivets holding it onto the damaged door, as all Skoda did (I believe) is delete the nuts that got welded to the inside of the door, don't think the carrier was actually changed.

But this is all what i believe.. I don't actually know.

If anything, a pre 04 nutted door would be an advantage when it starts to leak or window regulator packs in ;)
