driving home last night, missed 2nd from first and now cant select first but all other gears can be selected and used ? any ideas as i need to sort as cheap and quick as possible

Could be something simple, like the linkages have gone out of alignment or a gearbox fault. My money would be on an issue with the linkages though, especially if the other gears work without any problems.

any more ideas?

Look under the bonnet next to the battery check that nothing has dropped down in the way of the gear selector! Should look like a small L bracket with 2 cables attached.

If you have a induction kit fitted the breather may be in the way.etc

If you wont to try and reset the linkages, it might help.

To reset your gear linkage, buy lifting the gaiter off the stick and locking it into position with a nail, then you can try and reset the cables at the gearbox end...

Just hope it ant the synchromesh in your box m8. It’ll be something simple
