potential respray

Featured Replies

After I waxed my car yesterday I noticed more red paint coming off on the cloth when I did the roof wombined with one rusty wheel arch and some crusty **** where I sprayed back to black stuff and the mist drifted on the paint :rotz:

So I'm contemplating getting the rusty wheel arch changed and a full respray next year,

Some people have said hmmm it's not really worth it...but screw them ;)

How much would a respray be roughly? or am I best off speaking to a bodyshop? (in the original colour of course)

screw me then :D

you'll save a couple of hundred by self prepping it

and then you may get a cheap blow over for £300

You still might be able to save it with a wire brush, some filler, some primer, and appropriate coloured paint. Detailing clay might remove the back to black stuff. Touch ups can still look quite good if the colour is matched well and it's blended in nicely. Much cheaper than a full respray too.
