Nokia Hands Free

Featured Replies

Need advice on following....

Got Occy 2 with hands free for ols nokia 6310....no bluetooth.

Control box looks very much like that in CK-7W kit, which has bluetooth.

Anyone know if I can unplug one control box and replace with the other......saves messing about with any wire n aerial ????

Apologies if not in right forum....wasn't sure where to post !!

Have you checked the control box? only reason I ask is mine was fitted with nokia kit with 6310 holder and mine was a bluetooth control box.

Best thing of all leave your phone switched off & be safe, not a killer.

If the call is important then they can always leave a message on your answerphone.

My phone is always off when driving, either my car, my bike or my train.

Does you kit have the separate circular button for answering the phone. If it does your kit may well be bluetooth. My CK-7W works in a cradle with my office 6021, but also bluetooth with my personal N95. For bluetooth you need no phone on the cradle, then with the kit powered up press and hold the circular button till the light starts flashing, then search for bluetooth devices on the phone. Enter pin 0000 and your done.

Some of use need to be contactable, and so long as handsfree, are safe and legal.

Napier,

If you have a wheel with nokia on that adjust the volume, then you have a CK7W. If not, then all you need is to be able to locate this (I assume you have it) as this plays a part in the BT functionality on the CK7W IIRC.

I have swapped older kit control modules and all the wiring is, and still is the same.

I upgraded a cark 121 to a CK7W, however the connectors onthe box are not the same.

You can reuse the microphone and the speaker out but the power lead + cradle leads are different sizes.

The new kit doesn't have pins for an aerial either.

I'd have to say it's not a big issue however as running the power is easy compared to locating the mic properly.

I went 121 >CK5 >CK7W and forgot that I used an adapator to reduce the power plug for the module. Cost about £5 from CPW IIRC

Oh great,

just to share the enthusiasm with another 6310 user, I though to be a sort of mammouth.... ;)

BTW, I have the OEM phone kit (with bluetooth) and bought myself a 2nd hand cullmann cradle, so I can safely use it via stalk or voice commands. I find it a huge security improvement over the ear plug.

Many thanx for the suggestions.

No there's no volume / call / end button....had this in my company passat but not in this Occy.

I accept mic is worst to route but just looking for a quick n easy swap !!

Guess best way is to splash out on a secondhand CK-7W from fleabay n compare boxes.

Got a brodit cradle with charging lead for my phone so need to sort how to connect it to CK7W. Its got a 6 pin connector on the end ?

Away for a week but any further suggestions appreciated !!!
