bit of an old timer on this forum, havent been on in a while. considering an octy vRS tdi or tfsi.

can anyone point me in the direction of some reviews of the cars? either on brisk or elsewhere?

also any suggestions? would be a low miles 2008 car £15-16k limit

Kenny I was in the same predicament as you looking to spend £16K and I discovered the LE above. No milage and the best interior I have seen on any Skoda. Anthracite finish is stunning too. Wheels are the bone of contention but you can change them later. £17K. Do a search on the LE !!

Did a quick search focusing on Edinburgh as you don't say where you are - there are 11 vRS's for sale but no LE's.

With the VAT off at the mo, you could pick up a new one at that price, check out drivethedeal, they quote £14880 approx for the basic tfsi and £15575 for the TDi without extras!

Kenny have sent you a couple of PMs. BTW I noticed a few on the Skoda Used car site for VRS last week, all over the country there are LEs (easily noted by their 18" Monzas). Even though they have no milage on them. they are in the used search due to the new facelift VRSs.

Note the milage as being 9 miles !!! That must be used then

Paid £10900 for a Nov 2007 VRS PD 170 Combi , 20k so look around, many around £13k now whereas £15k gets you a brand new (imported) one from Motorpoint with the Common Rail Engine and perhaps DSG.

Plenty of reviews on the Evo website.

Parks of Hamilton have a brand new VRS TDI LE in stock at 17500 as I looked at it before I bought mine from motorpoint for 15,000. Hope this helps.
