hi guys im trying to find a good oil for my superb diesel, 2003 1.9 tdi ( 130 PD) 95,000 on clock. the manual seems to state VW505 01 for the extended servicing. I've found a few sppliers of 505 01. the problem is they all say this is no good for the extended servicing only the fixed mileage.

They try to move me on to stuff with 504 00 and 507 00 specs for this.

Ive tried 4 main dealers and frankly they are bloody useless. When i asked one which VW spec i should use he simply told me the viscosity 5w/30, he seemed to understand no more than this and saios this was all that was important!!!!!!!!!!. a couple have told me you can only buy the right oil from a main dealer ( which i know is crap) I;ve tried emailing skoda they havent bothered replying.

To be honest VW delaers have been the most helpfull but they cant be sure as even as ive given them the engine spec etc they say skoda may have diff spec. plus some are reccomending vw50501 one 50400 and another couple 50700 ( to be on the safe side)

any help guys before i get it serviced???

Your best bet is 507 spec oil. 505.01 for normal intervals, 507 for extended.
