coolant leval indicator warning on

Featured Replies

the coolant leval indicator onthe maxi dot has come on ,with a bong and a flashing symbol at the top of the maxidot ,the temp has stayed bang on 90 and the leval in the tank is ok both cooling fans running ok with or with out air con on,

i have done a fault code scan and no faults presant , monatering the temp via adl plug and temp as indicated on display has any one found the leval sensor's to be faulty or a wiring isue?,

insidentaly mfd2 dissplay back ground went red at the same time as the fault showing up ,

Had the same problem. Cos it was under warranty I took it back to the dealers. Apparently it's a common problem and they sorted it within 10 mins. The contacts of the coolant level sensor in the expansion bottle corrode, so the technician cleaned them and hey presto all good. However they did tell me if it went again they have to replace the sensor which I think is part of the bottle. Hope that helps a little.
