My Octi has developed a grinding noise (metal on metal) sound when accelerating or releasing the clutch especially on hot dry days. Sound comes from the nearside front wheel - ish. Especially performs when accelerating up hills unaffected by steering direction. Wheel bearing? CV joint? Gearbox / Diff bearings? Any clues guys. Seldom does it in winter!

Check the engine mounts, including the dogbone mount at the back.
