MP3 connectivity

Featured Replies

Hi folks, complete ICE noob here. Apologies if this topic has been posted before but I couldnt find anything using the search.

Just got a Mk1 Octavia vRS a few weeks ago. As i bought it in Ireland it doesnt come with a CD multichanger as standard and possibly even has a different headunit(have included pic just in case)

What i want to do is be able to connect my mp3 player to the car's sounds through a headphone jack(3.5mm i think??), is this possible?

Thanks!

Not possible with that head unit unless you use one of those FM transmitter things, as far as I know.....

Ah no!! Those FM things never sound great to me.

Are ya sure it can't be done?? Is there no way I could fool the headunit into thinking the mp3 is a multichanger seeing as I don't have one?

I'd like to keep the standard look so really dont wanna change head unit!

Thanks

If you have the wiring in the boot side pocket, you could fit a device that connects.

Forgot who makes them though....

Do a search for Denison :)
