Vista and Photoshop cs4 problems

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I recently tried installing a copy of cs4, my best mate gave it me as it installed ok on his xp and vista comp,

i got it copied it across and started the install and it failed, i think its because i didnt run in adminstrator mode, doh

now when i uninstall and reinstall it keeps on failing, ive tried cs3 but this fails also

its a brand new comp nothing else on it other than acrobat reader,

is there any way i can uninstall the bits of cs4 and 3 that are hidden in the depths so i can install correctly without a format

thanks in advance

Rob

You'll probably have to go into the Registry and search for the Photoshop Installer keys.

Not for the faint hearted I might add.

Also, before you do any tinkering of any sort make sure you've got a backup of your system and important settings.

You might be able to start 'anew' by using a previous system restore point thereby not needing to tinker.

Yeah, but everything goes with it so do some sort of back up of your doc's etc.
