Using 504 00 oil and fixed servicing - Octy FL

Given I do lots of short journeys for my job, and that the skoda site specs VW 504 00

for the 2ltr petrol on both flexible and fixed service. Is it worth asking for this to be used when I order my car or just let them do whatever?

I noticed on the shell site they list two grades that meet 502 00 and only one that does 504 00. Any views on this? Do Skoda dealers actually use Shell as i noticed the sticker on the engine bay in the show room. I run my Mazda on Shell.
