Disarming Felicia immobiliser

Featured Replies

Is it possible to disarm the immobiliser on my Felicia? I have replaced the key, ignition barrel and the sensor ring and the car will not start.

If you have replaced the key then you need to take the little chip out from the old key and transfer it into the new key as it is this chip that is programmed into the immobiliser control unit.

If you pry the key apart there should be a little black chip near the key blade end that you need to remove carefully and put into the new replacement key it should then read the chip and start up!

I replaced the key, ignition barrel and sensor because I have lost my last original key! Is the sensor dedicated to the immobiliser unit and /or the ecu? I have the original and replacement demobiliser units but still the original ecu.

I think that the key is programmed to the immobiliser unit and also believe that the immobiliser unit is programmed to the ECU.

I think there is a way to re-programme a new key through vag-com but would have no idea how.
