Dealer preping of new car

Featured Replies

I'm a little worried about letting the dealer swirl my new octy when it arrives, do they arrive with transport wax or plastic over them? Do you think its worth asking the dealer to prep it but not wash and to only remove the wrapping? Any ideas??

James

I would let them prep it first then see what its like and if you not happy you can find a local detailer to sort it for you

Baker21 is the top man on here for that.

Yer, I actually have all the stuff myself but it saves me from having to do it straight away. Got a DA, Menz polishes etc..

James,

new Skodas arrive at dealership with plastic covering stuck onto roof, bonnet, upper front wings and the tailgate..... Skoda do not use transport wax.

As suggested..... let the dealer prep the car.... check it over when you take delivery and if the only issues you have are in the valeting, have your local valeting/detailing specialist take care of it..
