140PD engine successor?

Featured Replies

Anyone know when this diesel powerplant is likely to be replaced by Skoda with (I'm guessing) a CR equivalent? Thanks.

1.6 TDI I am guessing will come in a varient higher than the 105bhp version so maybe that or a 2.0 CR140.

Really depends if they want to drop the CO2 or keep smoothness of a larger engine.

I dont know when its planned to be replaced, however I notice its no longer available without a DPF fitted which is a pain. I like my early one at least it has no DPF to clog up and only costs £125 a year to tax.

Hopefully the CR143 which is supposed to be a very good engine

I think the CR140 will replace it, with the 1.6 replacing the 1.9.

Isn't it only the 4x4 and Scout variants which come with a DPF? I thought the 140PD on the current Elegance, L&K etc. didn't have one?

They didn't.... but might well have now.
