Total Excellium

Featured Replies

Anyone else tried Total Excellium diesel ?

I filled up with this by chance a few weeks ago, and the car definitely liked it - it ran very smooth, bit like Millers effect but better if anything ...

I wouldn't normally buy this as we haven't a local outlet, but it seems to suit the vRS well

Rick

Do a search on it or V power or Ultimate.

Then do a search on 2t oil and then try to work out where your extra cash is going

I tried it in France as it was only 2 Euro cents more and fuel was cheap.

It's pretty good compared to the other super fuels IMHO, but at the UK price difference it isn't worth it.

They have some kind of deal on at the moment where if you don't notice the improvement they will refund you....... they must have confidence in it.

How can you prove the improvement..?

Dunno, I always use supermarket sludge and it does fine :)

Deffo seemed better than the normal "super" ones

I wonder if the are just bunging 2T in it ??

what price is it per litre I use the supermarket stuff the misses likes having the vouchers

"every little helps"

i've used excellium and personally i found it better than the others. I found that i actually did more mpg and this was on 3 occasions of testing the excellium out. I recommend it, if your willing to pay the price that is :P

I dont know about the excellium but I use normal Total diesel and find it runs better on that than any V power or BP Ultimate fuel. My trip computer always shows about 6 mpg more and the engine a lot smoother.

I would like to try this but my local Texaco place only does the premium petrol. I didn't know Total had a premium Diesel but will look out for it now. Interesting point about proving the difference though!

Got some more today

2p a litre extra compared to the normal stuff doesn't strike me as too bad

My nearest garage sells Total fuels and I always go there for Excellium. They are in competition with the local Tesco so overall the price per litre is about 2p. more than Tesco's equivalent fuels, a bargain!
