Stuttering/hesitant octy vrs

Featured Replies

Hiya guys, could do with some answers/suggestions please. I've got a 57-plate octy vrs tdi pd and it has starting misbehaving. It had a warranty repair/upgrade for the ECU/turbo 2 weeks ago by my skoda dealership due to stuttering/hesitant acceleration. This was a known issue apparently. It seemed to cure it.

Just had my 18,000 mile service (variable servicing) done at an independent garage (they used skoda genuine parts/oil etc...) and car was running great when I drove it away. However, having got home from work last night, I went out in it again with a couple of the lads to footy when it started stuttering again and felt 'sluggish'. Also noticed that the exhaust note sounded deeper/rougher. I don't think there's a hole in the exhaust system-it looked in pretty good nick when it was up on the ramp being serviced and inspected at service time.

Anybody got any ideas what it could be? Anybody else experienced this?

Cheers

I know I'll probably get lambasted for this but try giving it a shot or two of Millers Diesel Power Sport 4, I've had some stuttering since VW did an upgrade on the cars firmware, however its stopped since I used Millers Diesel Power Sport 4.

Now whether that's a coincidence I don't know or whether there was some muck on an injector I don't know but its done the job.

Cheers for that, and I know what you're saying, but I got warned off using fuel additives

on this particular car. I used to use a 1-shot of redex diesel treatment on my fabia vrs about twice year and it ran brilliantly.

I got told no additive for my golf, still uses it and it runs better.

Can,t go wrong with Millers

That reminds me i must get some more.
