New phone help please

Featured Replies

At the moment I'm due an upgrade on my mobile contract. I currently have a Nokia N95 8GB for 'best' when I'm not at work etc. And while I'm at work I have a battered old Nokia N73, of which the little joystick has snapped off and the screen has marks on it, one of which is right in the middle and makes it hard to read texts.

Now I like taking pictures using my phone so like one that has a good camera. So I'm thinking of getting this phone to replace my N73, but don't want a joystick or slide phone if I can help it.

My choices so far are a Nokia 6220 and Nokia 6700. Or should I get another N95 8GB and hope it survives work. Touch screens seem to be out as the chance of screen damage is too high.

Has anyone experienced either the 6220 or 6700. Good or bad.

Thanks

Ian

Much of a muchness. If the 6700 proves to be anywhere near as durable, easy to use and allround useful as the 6300 was then it will be a winner however I haven't found the camera to be all it's cracked up to be on the 6700 but being a Nokia, this is expected and if you were really dead set on a good camera then Shonky Ericsson are going to be more up your street (As long as you dont mind getting it fixed every 3 weeks)

It's worth pointing out as well that neither of them are that cheap, your looking at about £220 sim free for the 6700

Now that is good, my blackberry battery only lasts about 5 days..............:)

E52 would be the answer for battery life when it comes out ;)

The 6700 is a nice phone and seems to be working well so far for the people I know with them.

I would consider a new case but the marks on the screen are on the inside...weird. Also it takes about 5 mins to send a text, and the speaker is never been the same since it got slightly wet being rather quiet now and can be very slow. I did enjoy my 6310i, but the one I have won't work with my sim card, and my dad is using it.

My upgrade is overdue anyway and I have now sorted out a 6220. Should be here tomorrow.

You can still get a 6310i off ebay, and you can get them unlocked for a fiver, so you can use any network
