superb 140 tdi

Featured Replies

did a daft thing the other day...poked around with a pen to close the contacts up on the rear cigar lighter in order to make the lighter stay in when pressed.......why i dont know as no one smokes in the back!......any way back to this thread....i have read on the superb forum as to where the fuse replacement is for the rear cigar lighter (not boot) and was finding out from other superb ownwers, how easy is it to replace? from what i can see underneath by the peddles, the trim underneath seems to be well fitted.

id like to get this done as ive got this holiday looming very soon and the last thing i want is the kids moaning about them not able to power up their dvd player using the rear cigar socket......any help or suggestions on how to do this would be of great help....thanks:thumbup:

I,ve just replaced the fuses for the power sockets in the boot and for the rear passengers. You need to remove the dash panel that houses the light switch. This panel doesn't need to come out completely it can be pulled down to give enough room to access everything . There are 4 torx screws holding it on , 2 in the fuse box and one either side of the steering column, these were quite difficult to find. The fuse for the passenger rear power socket was on top of a relay . in a fuse holder to the right . The relays are fitted to the bulkhead . The fuse for the boot power socket was under a relay on the left ,just look for yellow 20 amp fuses .good luck
