Which IMMO Chip for Octy II ? (CAN based)

Featured Replies

I phoned Hickleys earlier to be told I need a AKTP2 Immo transponder chip for my Late-2004 Octy II key. However, searches on here suggest that this is only suitable for Octy 1 and non-CANBUS cars so I've not yet ordered one.

Do any of you know which is the correct chip?

Also, is there anyone is the South of England (Dorset / West Hamps preferably) who can programme keys for a reasonable price? (beside the main dealer that is).

Many thanks,

Jon

I spent quite a bit of money and time and (dealer) coding on immobiliser (RFID) chips and keys that supposedly had the "right" chip, but the only one (of many) that worked came from my Skoda dealer (along with the key blade half of the remote for $Aus 192.00). I did find a couple that worked for my Transporter, but the supplier no longer sells them :(

If you do find any that work for a late model Skoda at a reasonable price I'm sure lots of people here (and elsewhere) would be very interested in knowing of the source.

I could code the key for you next time I'm down that way if you're not in a rush.

Thanks Shark, that sounds like a good offer, we're not in a desperate hurry. Do you have any tips on which transponder chip I need for an OctyII ?

Jon

I've never changed a transponder individually, so I'm not sure to be honest.
