Dragon box owners

Featured Replies

The engine management light popped up on my dash so i took the car to the local dealers to see what was up

To cut a long story short

The injectors were reading 127 instead of 90 and the probable culprit was the dragon box attached to my engine

The box is off the car and on its way to fleabay

Anyone had anything similar with tuning boxes?

Nope

Ive had no problem with my dragon box for about 3 years of happy motoring

It has come as a suprise with my over pressured injectors

i was thinking about a custom remap so my mind has been made up fpr me:thumbup:

mine was fine.

my new style box was fine, the older style black box caused faults

No problems in a couple of years and 25k of (7-pin) DB use... :ne_nau:

One thing to bear in mind is that any form of tuning will necessarily increase injector pressure, as the only way you can get more oomph is to chuck more fuel into the cylinder. As such, I'd make sure that the DB isn't exacerbating another problem rather than being the direct cause of the CEL.

The box has been off for a couple of days now and no engine management light........so far

I will see if the light comes back on over the next few weeks

If it does

It obviously isnt the DB doing it:D

From the injector pressures, I would say you have the box set to its most aggressive setting.

If you change the setting to 5 (or maybe even 6), then the engine management light will not come on.
