Picked up my 'new' 2008 Vrs today!

Featured Replies

After looking around for a while, and lurking here!, I took the plunge & purchased Octavia Vrs estate. I read loads of reviews which seemed very positive, so I found a nice 2008 Vrs estate, Silver, less than 7000 miles, from a main dealer. Standard apart from rear parking sensors. Its the PD engine, but was priced well below any similar car so I was happy with that.. couldnt really justify a couple of grand extra for the CR!

I'd like cruise control so will have a search to see if this is possible.

Thanks for good posts on this site, very useful to a newbie..

Cruise control is easily added :)

Good luck with it!

Nice one you won't regret it.

Indeed, great car, I'm sure you won't regret it!

Yep, cruise can easily be added by someone with vagcom. :)

I love this car!, nothing to complain about at all. Easily the best car I have owned. The quality & drive compares to a 3 series BMW I had from new in 2002 (but double the MPG!).

All I have done to the Vrs is to put a neat 4'' USB cable tail by the drivers window pillar, for satnav. That was an easy job, I got a 5M Usb to Mini Usb cable from Maplins, poked it down a gap behind the fuse cover on dash end, through the exposed dash void there - then the cable was easily pushed under the door/carpet trims along the drivers side, plugging into a USB car charger -plugged into the socket in the estate boot. There will be better ways, but no drilling or splicing needed this way!
