Pallas Alloy Wheels.

Featured Replies

I've been trying to track one down, I've got these coming on my Octy and I want a spare wheel, but I don't want a steel spare, I would like a matching alloy one.

Does anyone know how much these are + tyre please?

TIA

Not certain but I believe you can only have a 16" Alloy spare - to do with fitting in the wheel recess.

No doubt someone will confirm.

All Octy wheels should be the same size rolling radius, whether they are 15s or 19s. Having said that the spare on the vRS is a 16 steelie.

The only advice I can offer about sourcing a wheel is either buy new which I guess will be expensive or keep an eye out on eBay.co.uk , also try eBay.de as that is usually good for VAG group spares (not sure about Skoda but again someone will confirm no doubt)

It's the width that's the issue.

As said, the biggest size the wheel well can take is that of a 16".

Meant to add, my FL Elegance, which was ordered in Feb and delivered in May, came with the standard 16" Crateris alloys and included a matching spare. This was just prior to Skoda's spare wheel policy changing and the controversial 'gunk' making its appearance.

The last thing I want is that gunk in my tyres.

If you get a puncture & use it (gunk) the tyre's knackered, you can't repair it, even if it was able to have been repaired before the use of the gunk.

I said it was controversial ! When manufacturers take this route, as most have, in my opinion customer's should be given the choice of either gunk or spare wheel, even if it is a space saver.

Without wishing to appear smug  I must go and check the pressure in my standard supplied full sized matching 16" Crateris Alloy spare wheel. :D

You smug bassa!!:P

I've been through it the past though, had to fight tooth & nail to get a free spare wheel to go with my former Honda Civic's standard gunk & compressor. Eventually got one, albeit a space saver. Actually, thinking about it, I felt a bit smug then by ending up with both - belt & braces really.

Is that belt & braces to hold your spare tyre? :orb_laugh
