Hi all, my name's Phil and my pride and joy (when it's not cheesing me off) is a Fabia 1.4i 16v on a Y plate, so one of the first VW engines in this model I believe.

It's been a great little car, 45-50mpg travelling from the SW to family in Bucks, and not too much less than that when pootling around with the grockles down here.

However, the old girl is 9 years old now and starting to show a few cracks, though nothing too major (fingers crossed)

I've been in to look around this forum quite a lot in the past, and found some very helpful and enthusiastic people around, so decided to put my head above the parapet and say hello.
