Other VAG headunits?

Featured Replies

A bit of help please, I know feck all about stereos!

The Skoda radio/cassette in my sdi is dead, it works on one local station but none of the buttons respond and the radio fades out for minuts at a time. Bloody annoying when you miss a travel report.

I'm looking to stick a VW/Skoda/Audi/Seat unit in it's place, does anyone know what fits?

VW Beta R/C and Seat Atlanta CD units appear cheap ... but will they work?

TBH, I think you'd be better off looking for a unit for the Fabia.

Other VAG units will work (depending on year and you having the key code), but they wont fit the curve of the Dash and you'll have to buy the adapter to fill the gap that they'll leave at the top.

If your after a CD head unit then find a Symphony. Or even a 502 and stick a changer in the boot/glove box/passenger seat.

I agree with the above, the Symphony is an excellent piece of kit and blends in with the dash perfectly. They come up for sale on Ebay and this forum quite often for about £50 plus.
