Starter motor

Featured Replies

I fitted a new starter motor to my Felicia. Initially I was confused about where to put the +ve lead from the battery. When I connected it to the bottom terminal, on the solenoid, and touched the +ve battery lead onto the battery a whirring noise occurred so I reversed the leads and the starter worked. Unfortunately the alternator light, ABS light and brake fluid light remain illuminated when the engine is running. Does anyone know what I have damaged?

Confused Guernsey.
