What's it worth? A1 condition 2008MY modded VRS Estate.

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Im after some advice regarding...

...the selling of my pride and joy :rotz: :( A 2008MY race blue VRS estate with FSH.

Im seeing really different pricing on these as standard; mine is modded as per my sig and its the most looked after VRS estate in the world... probably. :D Detailed regularly by a local company, oil changed (with long life!) at 6,500 and 13,000 miles. It currently has just 14,000 miles on the clock and has just had the 20k/2 yr service at the dealer including brake fluid change.

Bar the odd stone chip, the car is mint and has never missed a beat. Only issue which needed attention was a faulty valve in the A/C unit - this was replaced (and regassed) just two months back.

Not only is it modded (all done by JKM) but it also has every factory option available from front and rear sensors, sunroof, active headrests, zenons, curtain airbags, columbus sat nav etc etc - this is again making it difficult for me to price up as I cant find another example with these options....

Help. What's is realistically worth guys?

Thanks,

Lee

Price it up at £1000 above book, but in reality most people prefer to do mods themselves and the most profitable option would be to put it back to standard... :(

I'll take a punt at £13k. :)

June 2008 CR diesel estate (5750 miles) are going for about £13,500 from main dealer

(I just got one!), standard apart from rear parking sensors.

Your options will add to the price, but higher mileage & private sale will knock some off.. So 13K sounds about right!

You must have got them to come down quite a bit then to get it for £13500.

If you do a CR estate search on the Skoda used site there won't be many (if any) showing at that price.

In fact I've just looked and the cheapest CR is £15495.

Are you sure yours isn't a PD - I'm not even sure you can get a CR from June 2008

Its a TFSI, not a CR or PD.

You are right, bit of a memory lapse. It is a PD !

Ive been offered £11750 today as a dealer buy in which really surprised me - it means I would get to take off all the mods and return it to standard (which is what he prefers and what the offer was for) and then have the mods to sell on.

Im sleeping on it but I thought the offer was fair considering he'll be putting up + £1500 I'd guess. Also means a quick sale with no test pilots turning up for a go and no real intention of buying.

Now there's some work to get all those mods off, I just sold mine and I had total 11 (turned REVO off before letting go) took me a week or so!

Good luck...........

I'd bite his hand off with that offer Lee :o

I think that's pretty good actually.

Could be cheeky and say give me £200 more and I'll go for it, see what the dealer says.

That would pay for the labour to take some of the bits off.

Nice idea but I dont think there is any chance of that as the offer was £11500 and I made the case that the car would fly off the forecourt simply as it was specced with every single option. They came back to me and offered £11750.

As the Tesco slogan says - every little helps

Im thinking very strongly about going for it; may stick it up on here for £12,500 with all the mods, save me even having the parts swapped I guess.

Thanks for the views guys.

If I could finance it I'd give you £12500 in a heartbeat!!!

Lee,

Fairly cheeky request, but if you decide to sell any mods could I have first dibs?
