dodgy connection??

Featured Replies

hi folks, i'm getting some really strange messages on my felicia pickup, when i try to access engine (01) it seems to spurt out random messages and occasionally says "too many communication errors to continue" or "interface status 2 - nfg!" or "interface not found" is this a bad connection somewhere on the diagnostics port??..

sometimes it connects and shows the ecu part number, then magnetti mareli 1av - 2151...

and says kw1281 with a little cursor spinning round like it's doing something, but then goes to error message..

at first i though it was a duff cable but the same cable works perfectly on my lupo without any problems

right i've figured it out

the shroud that holds the diagnostics connector up under the dash is preventing the cable from mating fully hence the erratic connection

you can unclip the connector from the shroud, then when you are finished you can cable tie the plug to the wiring loom that runs under the heater duct to keep it up out of the way of the pedals
