Thanks to everyone who commented.

I actually bought it almost two weeks ago, but then went off to on a 600ish mile week to Torquay with the family.

It did everything I hoped it would!

Massive bootspace meaning we could get most of our gear in there, plus the boy loves being put in there to toddle about.

Enough under the right foot to mean the journey wasn't too dull ;) and managed high 30s on the mpg front.

I'm impressed with the seats. It took nearly 5 hours to get there, and although I was knackered, nothing ached!

Just got to sell the VR6 now :worried:

Still, new car for me. All shiny (although full of sand now).

It's great!

Nice one :)

Keep an eye on the oil level :)

Oh?

Go through it a bit do they?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the type of oil required depends upon whether the car is set to variable of fixed servicing.

Is that so ?

Yes and yes but its not a problem. I blast mine through France every year and it usually needs a little top up each way, noting much just a dribble to keep the levels correct. Just get in the habbit of checking it every other week or so (depending on how many miles you do).

Im with you, they are a great family car. I absolutely love mine.

Enjoy...

Fortunately I'm in the habit of doing so anyway as my VR6 consumed oil.

What oil do you use ?

I notice from your sig that you've got the bluefin device.

How long have you had it? Are you pleased you got it?

Hi Moge,

I use the oil Skoda recommend for the vRS, its Castrol I believe (5w-30 rings a bell - can nip out to the garage and check if needed).

Re the Bluefin, I think its a great bit of kit. Ive done approx 25k miles with it now and its been very reliable (touching wood now!). It transforms the car IMO, much better throttle response and a real feeling of urgency when you nail it - feels much quicker than standard. Regretfully, I paid top whack for mine though (£599) so IMO they are a bit of a bargain now at under £400. Remember though, there are other re-maps available which have been talked about many times before on here. I dont know if other offer the flexibility of being able to turn it on an off with the hand held controller though? Very, very useful in my opinion.

I think Superchips do a 7 day money back guarantee, why not give it a go. I reckon you will keep it!
