Rear nearside window problem

Featured Replies

Rear nearside window is now free to move up and down independantly from the regulator. I`ve got the door card off and removed the six screws holding the regulator plate in place, but the plate seems to be attached approx in the middle, top and bottom, although it will "wriggle". Are there some other fixings, like a rivet that I need to remove? What about the lock release rod-does this have to be removed along with the moulded white plastic crank (cross shaped) on the RHS?

if you mean the window is flopping around it will have come away from the channel it sits in, this is a ******* as they are fitted in the factory with the correct squeeze on the glass, once it comes out it's generally knacked and you will need a new window, you could try a good heavy bonding glue in the channel, just make sure you don't test it until it's fully hardened.
