Facelift Maxidot Question

Featured Replies

On my previous MY08 pre facelift maxidot, from recollection you used to be able to press the trip reset button on the dash with the ignition on and maxidot would display how many miles/days to your next service.

I tried this tonight whilst sat in traffic at a stand still and it did not work.

Anybody know if this is done a different way, or it is not possible on the facelifted maxidot?

Ignition on, but engine running or Ignition on, but engine not running?

There could be a subtle difference.

Previous car - it was engine off, ignition on

Facelift - tried it both ways

Its not hidden in a menu in the maxidot is it?

I seem to recall something about servicing intervals in a FL loaner I had several months back.

I've just opened the online version of the manual which I've handily saved on my laptop & if I've read the manual correctly, you can find it in the setup menu.

Just be careful doing it, just in case you press the wrong thing and reset the service interval indicator.

My FL Octy has the Maxidot and I can confirm that the Service Interval is accessible through the menus. Hold the upper part of the button that sticks out of the windscreen wiper stalk for a couple of seconds. Once into the menu you can move up/down by pressing the upper or lower part of the same button. Select an item by pressing the Trip Computer Reset button underneath the stalk.
