Octavia Fault Code Help Needed

Featured Replies

Hi - this is my first post! I would be very grateful if anyone could offer me some advice or help on the following problem: Octavia II '05 model. When I scan with VCDS I get the following readouts:

Chassis Type: 1K0

Scan: 01 02 03 08 09 15 16 17 19 25 42 44 46 47 52 56 62 72 76

VIN: TMBBE21Z................ Mileage: 62810km/39028miles

00-Steering Angle Sensor -- Status: OK 0000

01-Engine -- Status: OK 0000

02-Auto Trans -- Status: OK 0000

03-ABS Brakes -- Status: OK 0000

08-Auto HVAC -- Status: OK 0000

09-Cent. Elect. -- Status: Malfunction 0010

15-Airbags -- Status: OK 0000

16-Steering wheel -- Status: OK 0000

17-Instruments -- Status: OK 0000

19-CAN Gateway -- Status: OK 0000

25-Immobilizer -- Status: OK 0000

42-Door Elect, Driver -- Status: OK 0000

47-Sound System -- Status: Malfunction 0010

52-Door Elect, Pass. -- Status: OK 0000

62-Door, Rear Left -- Status: OK 0000

72-Door, Rear Right -- Status: OK 0000

76-Park Assist -- Status: OK 0000

The central electrics snag is a relay problem, but I don'd know what the sound system issue is. Going into the detailed printout it gives me:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Address 47: Sound System Labels: 1Z0-035-456.lbl

Part No SW: 1Z0 035 456 HW: 532 226 800

Component: SK35-DSP 4 1000

Revision: 4 Serial number: 00002337

Coding: 0000000001

Shop #: WSC 73430 790 00000

No fault code found.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

.... which doesn't make sense. How can it give no fault code, but tell me there's a malfunction?

Can anyone help please - what is a malfunction code 0010????

Thanks in advance.
