Think I can hear squeaking from my front wheels think I heard some rumbling and felt vibrations too once although stopping on the hard shoulder and going again stopped this.

Is this a sign that I should get my front wheel bearings checked/done?

It's not the calipers leaving the brake pads on is it? Favorits are prone to this, the pistons sometimes get surface rust on the wall and don't return fully.

When mine did that I got a squeal when driving at a certain speed (which over time got louder I think) and the affected wheel locked up when braking heavy (leading to tyre smoke).
