Alloy Wheel question

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Just wondering if these alloys will fit my car..

For a picture:

16" VOLKSWAGEN VW GOLF GENUINE ALLOY WHEELS AND TYRES on eBay (end time 11-Oct-09 11:13:07 BST)

they are ET42 part no. 1J0 601 025L

6.5J 16H2

Tyres on them currently are 205 55s

I have checked out on the tyre calculators on the internet and the difference from my current 175 65 14s and these is about 8.4%. most people recommend less than 5% difference but is it THAT bad? or do you just have to learn to drive a bit slower than the speedo is telling me?

Cheers

Yes they'll fit

Had a quick check, If you can get 195/45/16's fitted

The difference will be 0.22%

I got onto a bit of searching and found that both the 195 and the 205s with a 45 profile would go nicely.

the existing tyres on there dont seem too bad so I may be able to do a swap with a garage for a set of nearly news
