I've had my 1.8T octavia for just over a year now - bought 2nd hand - 1999 model

It came with the kamei headlight cover/surrounds - that make it look like twin lights

they look good but are they blocking out any light from the headlights??

If yes then i'll remove them - does anyone have experience with them???

They must be unless they are transparent. I would take them off.

Perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough - they don't cover the headlights - they are more surrounds - to make it appear like 2 headlights - looking for picture now...

ok can't find one - will have to take one sometime...

ok i have dummied one up - it looks sorta like that.

so more light without them? my mechanic reckons no - i'm thinking maybe they're cutting off the top of the beam a bit so they're not throwing the light quite as far.... but not sure...

no offence intended here but i think this sort of light covering looks tacky... only my opinion though.

i'd take em off.

they gotta be cutting light out somewhere.
