General questions about vRS

Featured Replies

I have just bought a mark 1 octavia vrs and need some help about some genral topics if anyone can help no matter how small please share!

1st does anyones vrs crunch when going from second gear to first unless just about at a complete stop?

2nd the steering seems very light and responsive when going slow but does not tighten up when you go faster like in other cars is this normal?

3rd will fitting a dump valve make any difference to the car preformance wise? What is the best wee things to do to get more preformance out of the car?

Any help is most welcome.:D

1. no it shouldnt crunch..!! check the linkage as it may need re-aligning if not its gearbox out buddy

2. mine feels the same at 10mph and 100mph so im not sure on that one

3. dumpvalve is normally fitted after a remap due to the increase in boost. by replacing the valve it will give you no extra power and you should stay with a recurculating valve not an atmospheric one.( will give a bit more noise when fitted with an induction kit)

4. best bang for bucks is a remap this will take the standard 180 to around 210 bhp and then the list goes on and on

hope that helps

and welcome to the forum:thumbup:
