I was thinking it might be a good idea to Scothguard the light grey alcantara panels on my seats but picking up a can of the stuff in Robert Dyas earlier it states "do not use on imitation suade or leather" Any ideas???

Not familiar with shop bought Scotchguard type products but can advise that the Autoglym Lifeshine protection spray isn't suitable for alcantara...tried once & then spent a good few hours rectifying:O

However I'm currently testing a similar product for Sothebys which is in aerosol form as opposed to a spray bottle & this seems to work fine on alcantara...although the drying time seems longer than the carpets & cloth seats.
