High pitched Squeek from front suspension? VRS

Featured Replies

Hi.

Could anyone point me in the right direction here. When driving slow or in traffic on a rough surface the front suspension gives the most awfull noise. Like steel scraping on steel or scratching a blackboard.

The car has had some rough time lately and have ordered many new parts and upgraded buishes etc..

I want to stop this awfull noise while i'm at the work. Car is also getting new shocks, cv joints and ball joints. Its done loads of track days and needs some care..

Centre exhaust bracket I suspect. Get your arm under the car when it's cold (make sure the cat is cold because they stay hot for longer than the rest of the exhaust), and give the exhaust a few hard bangs with your fist to try and replicate the sound. Bracket can be welded back on in 10mins (what I did).

:iagree:, or else ARB mounts or droplinks, or radiator mounts. All well documented.

Thanks Bodge. Thats it alright.Handy fix! Now to find all the other noises and rattles!

Yeah centre exhaust bracket! mine has just started making this noise again, had a complete new centre exhaust 2 years ago, thought it would last abit longer, just going to weld the bracket up this time.
