Lorenzo a second off the pace:eek:

Just watching it on British Eurosportat the moment.

Canepa hit a seagull going into turn 1!!!

Lorenzo a second off the pace:eek:

Dodgy stomach, see below from Yamaha

Valentino Rossi - Position: 1stTime: 1'31.032Laps: 31

"Today we made a great start. We were concentrated and strong and I am really happy to start in front here at Phillip Island, which is somewhere that I love to ride. We were able to get a lot done in the practice session and try many different things and I was able to ride just how I wanted to. We can definitely improve more - even though we already have a good pace we will continue to work tomorrow and try to find a little bit more, but for the first day I think we can be very happy about our work."

Jorge Lorenzo - Position: 6Time: 1'32.077Laps: 23

"I just couldn't go fast today. I wasn't feeling too good - I think that I ate something last night which didn't agree with me and I felt very weak, which made it very hard to ride the bike. We had some spin and not enough grip or confidence and there were two times where I nearly crashed before I actually did. Luckily I didn't hurt myself at all and now I will just try to get a good night's sleep and then hopefully I will be much better tomorrow."

Stoner on pole, The Doctor second, Danni third, Lorenzo fourth, Colin fifth.

Looking forward to a good race tomorrow.

One well-cheesed off Lorenzo.

Good running by Stoner.

Good result for Rossi.

Bit boring though, some dicing would have been nice.

He made a right **** of it!!!! Tagged the back of Hayden going into turn one and dropped it!!

Stoner and Rossi were sliding good style!!!

Deserved win from Stacey

Rossi for the Title!!! Whoop Whoop!!:D

Lorenzo got a face full of gravel............literally!

Some superb slides from Stoner & Rossi. Stoner deserved the win.

The title just got a little closer to Rossi.......

Lance

Once they'd both got past Pedrosa soon on, then not more than 1 sec separated them all the way through.

Rossi said he'd have had to have been 'very brave' to pass and was thinking more about preserving / increasing his lead.

Tagged the back of Hayden going into turn one and dropped it!!

After he hit Hayden he lost brakes and couldn't brake for turn 1, so slid down the road.

Hayden had some ride through the gravel trap

Good ride from Rossi & Stoner, looks like Casey's illness is well and truely gone

Yip, how the hell he tagged Hayden in the first place is a mystery??

He seemed to just swerve right into him, surely he must have saw him??

Haydens grass tracking days helped him in the litter i'm sure!!!

Cheers for the updates guys, will try and catch a re-run of the race during the week.

Looks like Rossi has #9 in the bag, and TBH deservedly so, although having to work much harder for it.

Will be cheering on Haga in WSBK this weekend.

Just watched the race..........another dull one??

Lorenzo - ****.

Stoner's drift on last lap

Shame Stoner had health problems, as the season could have been very interesting with the 2 Yamaha's and the Ducati fighting it out.

Still, he did and they didn't and the position is what it is.

Oh and BTW, is it just me that finds the posh commentator annoying?

Cheers

Lance

Stoner's drift on last lap

Even Rossi was letting the back go a little, ya don't see that too often with the Yamaha these days.
