Skoda Octavia Elegance - locking system

Featured Replies

Hi all, Am a newbie here and just purchased a new 2006 Octavia Elegance this morning:D. I had just a quick question about the locking system of this car. I forgot to check this morning but can you lock the car when your in it. As I'm a city driver, i usually like to keep the doors locked at the traffic lights etc.

thanks in advance!!!!

On the MKI its just above the electric window switches.

Hi

Cool thanks everyone. I pick it up on Wednesday. Looking forward to it.

My sister has a 58reg Golf, and she can activate the anti-hijack facility or disable it as she wishes by selecting that function on the dash. She doesn't need VCDS to do it. I don't know for sure, but the new Octavia just may be the same.....

Dunno about the Mk I ...on the Mk II, there's a button down by the handbrake to lock/unlock all the doors.

Anti-hijack can be enabled too... once you hit ~10mph, all the doors lock automatically.

Won't a 2006 be a MK 2 ?

Won't a 2006 be a MK 2 ?

Possibly, but they still (or did until very recently at least) make the MKI which was mainly bought by taxi drivers.
