I've looked in the VAGCOM owners map but there is no one listed near blackpool with equipment for a Fabia I. So I'm hoping theres a kind soul down the road who has one and wouldn't mind helping out

My alarm went off once for no apparent reason on Friday night followed by the EGR coming on the following morning and remaining on. The alarm went off again last night too at about the same time 9pm ish (cold weather?)

We use the car for work and obviously would like to know what the EGR fault is so we can determine the sort of urgency this needs to be booked in i.e. should we avoid using the car until it is fixed or is it ok to drive around in for say the next week or so.

Volkservice tend to be quite busy partculary if you want one of their courtesey cars.

The car is a vRS on a '06 plate, we've had it since July.
