Lights out!

Featured Replies

After fiddling around with the overhead lighting pod (looking for a temperature sensor that wasn't there...) I no longer have any interior lights, in the cabin or the boot. I disconnected the three-position slider switch as part of my master plan but I cannot reconnect it — there doesn't seem to be anything behind the slot to reconnect it to. I would happily take the whole pod off and have a good look inside, but having undone a couple of screws I still couldn't get the thing off the roof. I don't want to pull too hard in case there's something in there I don't know about. Is there an art to this?

Getting the car out of the garage after dark is quite fun these days.

Cheers, all.

Ah, I did the same thing. :)

There are the two screws, then see at the sidie of the smaller bulbs there should be two clip like things that go into the headlining. Just push a screwdriver between these and the plastic, should relise it. (Hopefully that makes more sense with it in front of you.)

Ah! Good job I didn't pull too hard, then...

Many thanks.

I've just looked at that other thread. Oh dear. Yes, that's what I've done. Looks as though I'm in for a hard time.

Incidentally, I've lost the map reading lights, too, which is a puzzle. I can't imagine how I could have blown a fuse — maybe the metal slider thing wandered around and shorted on something.

Yeah, it took me (Ok, my dad) a while to get it back together.

Regarding the lights blowing, could be you knocked a connection, but otherwise no idea I am afraid.
