Any Sky Engineers wanna shed some light on this ?

ok, so basically had sky plus with multi-room installed last year. . plus box went in lounge and the old box is up here with me in the office. one problem that is always happening ( although didnt when a bloke came to see what was wrong) is that when you are watching the music channels, and you skip forward using the ch+ buttons on the remote, when you get to 364 which is Qmusic, the next time you hit ch+ for chartshow tv and the vault (365 and 366) the box freezes. every time without fail this happens. 3 sky men turned up one morning, did a signal test, checked the box, and nothing appeared to be at fault.

just wondering if anyone has similar issues. on a side note the sky+ box we have (which i believe is an amstrad unit) can be totally useless at times, freezes up, doesnt respond to anything etc.

rant over, Rob.

I can maybe shed some light on the freezing up does bugger all except pi** you off. I had my sky hd box freeze up, pause but wouldn't play, turn off with out a reason etc. Went onto satcure and sent my psu offf for the panasonic capicitor upgrade(well known fault with cheap crap capicators from china on original sky boxes sky + and sky hd) cost me £28 in total and its a lot better. signal strength is good and it doesn't fault out as much. had to wipe my hard drive, force a software upgrade and housekeeping but much better than paying for a new box. Oh and sky when they replace boxes sky dont always give you a new box it could be someone elses box that had the same problem so they stick another crap psu in it (common complaint on the sat forums)
