My superb is enroute to my dealer built wk 42. I'm assuming that it will have the latest FW that will have the voice control option for columbus.

How does the dealer check this and enable this if it's present?

Not sure if this is a silly question, but I just want to make sure my dealer knows what to check:thumbup:

The firmware currently available that supports this function is a beta version leaked from the production plant testing facility. Its not been officially released yet, so dont expect to find any voice recognition on your new car. Its also possible, that the feature maybe removed from the final released version.

It will have the latest official firmware but AFAIK, voice control (as found in 2664) is unnofficial/leaked/pirated?! Has anyone ever had it on Columbus straight off the production line?

My excuse - was searching to see if anyone had reported a new car/Columbus with Voice control!

Thanks Simbo99 my dealer said he had a disk with new FW on but he's not checked to see what it does. Is there an easy way to check the fw on my columus?

Also, if needed would you be willing to send a copy?

checked my car and it does not play my sdhc cards so must be old fw. also cannot check as it seems that menu is not enabled.
