1.9tdi estate (registered 12/2008) boot power socket

Featured Replies

Conclusive evidence that I shouldn't be allowed anything better than a pedal car......

The end of an electric coolbox socket was stuck in the above, so I removed it with a pair of pliers: easy, except for a small spark and the fact that I've presumably shorted the circuit.

I'm not very competent technically (OK, this hardly needs saying) and wonder whether someone could let me know the specification/part number for the fuse - assuming that that's likely to be the only problem - and any guidance on how and where to replace it.

I would be very grateful for any help.

On mine , this fuse is on the fuseboard which can be seen when you remove the cover on the end of the dashboard, drivers side, when door is open. Mine has a card in there which details the fuses. Hopefully yours will be the same!
