It will be cuted wire - red/yellow between door and chassis...

Hi thanks for that, what do you mean by cuted though

It means the wire mentioned will have been cut between the door and the body

I thought it did but I thought I,d ask lol.

Can either of u tell me how to change discs and pads, do I just take the slider off or does the caliper have to come off as well.

And what tool do I need to wind the pistons back on the rear, is it the same as for the Mark 1, the lazer1314 tool? Is left or right thread needed?

And to use the tool the caliper would have to be off or the disc removed to get the tool in is this correct?

Thanks for your help

Its the same tool just remove the caliper and screw it back home, then clean the pins and put a film of grease on them and the pad guides

Thanks Skippy

Any advice on a frount spring? 1 of those has broken also.

The car has been stood for 18 month and everything has broken lol

And I,ve never done rear discs before, someone said the handbreak is in the middle? can you give any advice on this please, are they easy to do?

many thanks again for your help

as far as the "cuted" wire is concerned; you'll probably find that the pins have corroded on the multi plug inside the door, as mine did.

Inside the door panel, attached to the bottom of the window winder mechanism is a black box with a 21 pin plug on it.

Usually, water gets into this plug and just sits there, corroding the bottom few pins.

Does your drivers door mirror still work? (because mine stopped about the same time as the door lock...)

Good luck, it's a b*gger to fix...

No mirror is still workin, did you have to clean the multi plug or replace it?

You say its a bugger to fix?

What was the problem, getting to it? Replacing it?

Thanks for your info m8
