Locking wheel nut covers

Featured Replies

One of my locking wheel nut covers went AWOL today. On checking the other three, they do not seem to be that secure in comparison to the normal nut covers. Has anyone else lost these during driving?

This is an awkward question to ask....

But what size are your nuts??

And for the rest of you..:orb_no_no

Because if you're concerned about your nuts being exposed have a look here: http://tinyurl.com/yfrsaor

I will resist the temptation.....but mine aren't that secure either, especially after a power wash.

I MUST resist... I MUST resist...

Did you say that with a squeaky high pitched voice

My nuts are OK thanks - it's the covers.

If you don't know the size of your nuts, then you can't order replacement covers for them can you!:orb_rocki

If you click on the link in my first post it'll take you to Wheel Nut covers!

As for the I MUST resist, that was aimed at Paul007.

What colour are they? I've got quite a few spares.

Thanks for your offer, I have got 3 from my dealer. They are the grey ones on the current facelift.

Due to the poor fit, I can imagine more going AWOL before long. It requires the extractor tool to remove the normal ones but the locking nut covers are so easily removed by hand.

Just think a bit laterally...e.g.try wrapping some sellotape around the head of the locking bolt, makes the cover a tighter fit,job done!

P.S.the wheels are attached on the Octavia by bolts ,not nuts!

Meant bolts, a slip of the tongue:O

Have already used some PTFE tape and they are now secure:thumbup: - hopefully!
