Sad as it is, I often get home and sometimes just sit in the driveway for 5 minutes fiddling inside the car... And not with myself... (I bet i'm not the only one!) And found that if you push the headlight switch inwards while it is set to OFF (opposite to what you do to activate fog lights) then turn it a bit to the sidelight position, it will click into a spot whereby all the interior lights are on (dash pod, radio, heater switches, cliamate, window switches etc etc) but no exterior bulbs are on.

Not sure if this is an intentional function, or it could just be that I need to get a life, but there you have it. Don't see why it wouldn't work on most other vag cars too! If you ever find yourself in a position where you can't see the dials, but still have ample vision of the road ahead :confused:

In this position, you can take the switch out of the dashboard as well

Ahh, makes sense that it's there now I suppose! I guess it's pure luck that it happens to click to a position inbetween interior lights and sideleights!

My nieghbours no doubt think i've lost the plot, sat in the dark, lights flicking on and off!

If your really clever you can get just the radio/c console lights to come on not the clocks!!!!!
