My name is Tim, i'm from belgium and i have a problem with my rns 510 - 1Z0 - 1004

My setup was: FW 904 on a 1Z0 make a 3T0. -- result: all works fine.

Now i have my RNS update from 0904 to FW 266X and after the update my TMC don't work and the GPS searching 10 a 15 min before he's fine a sattelite and always when i start the RNS, the GPS start in Germany.

Also the voice control freeze when a adress or street is set.

What did i wrong ?

Anybody a worked solution?

The symptoms you describe seem to be common ones with the 2664 firmware, and reasons why some owners have gone back to earlier versions. The 2664 firmware is a leaked from the factory beta version, and the final version when released to dealers I expect will not have these issues.

Are you using BMW professional maps?

These cause the voicecontrol to hang itself up. Use original VAG maps and the problem is gone.

Might also be the solution for your TMC/GPS problem. (the TMC problem with the BMW maps is known).

The "Regensburg syndrome" is also a known bug. Everytime the Columbus makes a cold start it finds itself near the Messerschmidtstrasse in Regensburg.

Should work, as the maps on the V4 are very similar (if not equal) to the V5.

Gewoon de V4 installeren en kijken of deze werkt. (met werken bedoel ik dan TMC en het GPS probleem). Zelfs met de V5 heb ik dit Regensburg Syndroom ook, niet vaak maar af en toe (vooral als je in een garage geparkeerd hebt). Het is echter niet bij elke start.

The problem with the voice control and the TMC are well known bugs of the combined BMW maps with the VAG software. TMC does work, but you will need to choose the stations for TMC yourself. But the voice control bug cannot be solved.

That is also the reason I am using the V5 again.
